Links to surprise and delight

In this week's newsletter I found I had so many wonderful things for the "fun and inspiration" corner* that it couldn't honestly all squeeze in. Luckily, I remembered I had another place I can share stuff. For your reading pleasure:

Portals of London. A beautifully deadpan blog detailing mysterious disappearances and assorted space-time shenanigans.

The chair farmer. I want one. I really really want one.

The knitted (and crocheted) village. I adore the detail and commitment of this.

And from that magnificent mess that is Twitter, two excellent threads: Lauren Rad takes up arms against the uninformed, sexist condescension of "stick to your knitting"; and Maggie Stiefvater's advice on being a creative professional and a mother did not go the way I expected.

* There's no very rigid structure to the newsletter. Sometimes I share just one piece of cool art. Sometimes nothing. Sometimes a bunch. It all depends on what I've got that week. You should subscribe and see for yourself.
